Our Bookstore
Open
since February 2007, the Friends’ Bookstore is located just inside the Fairhope
Avenue entrance to the Fairhope Public Library.
It is stocked with donated fiction and nonfiction volumes for adults and
children, grouped by category and priced reasonably, as well as CDs, DVDs,
videotapes, and audio books. Volunteers
Brenda Huchingson and Mary Gregg are store managers; June Learner is the
scheduler.
Bookstore Hours
Monday, Tuesday,
Friday—10am-4pm
Saturday—10am-1pm
The
Bookstore is always seeking new volunteers to serve as cashiers. The hours are flexible; shifts are three
hours long, and two cashiers work each shift.
For more information about volunteering, contact us through this web
site (click “Contact Us” at the left) or drop by during store hours.
Donations
for the store should be placed on the donations’ cart inside the Bancroft
entrance to the library. At this time,
we especially need CDs, DVDs, new hardback fiction, cookbooks, decorating
books, and books on Alabama and the South.
We regret that we cannot accept encyclopedias, law books, and Reader’s
Digest Books. Donations should be clean
and in good condition.
